I didn’t buy this on Amazon because of the ridiculous pricing. It’s $20 less easily at stores. Don’t buy it on Amazon, look in your local shops first.
Now, the actual item is VERY good. The case is not meant to hold all your Skylanders, no, it’s meant to hold one of each Element- Magic, Tech, Water, Fire, Undead, Earth, Air and Life. That’s why it is limited to 8 spots. I have decided on a Skylanders team which this tower is perfect for- It flawlessly holds the ones I have now(still want three to replace some) and no toys have collapsed. They will only collapse if you put in 4, 5, or less, in which case you may as well carry them by hand. The reason I got this was so my toys would stop falling and slipping out of my hands when I had to carry them, and it fulfills that.
So why didn’t I give five stars? The only problem is the way the Skylanders can just flop around. They are only stored in midsize circle indents. I don’t know what other method could have worked, and as I mentioned have had no problems so far, but can see this being an issue when it is carried on long trips. Also, if your Portal is at a certain angle, you may not be able to fully and properly close the case. Very annoying when it’s happened to me.
If you just want a Skylander for every Element and are tired of carrying them yourself, get this case, but for a cheaper price.

I purchased this from TrU for Forty dollars and returned it the next day. The case only stores 8 Skylanders (there are 32(!) in all), and only comes with stickers for the original 8 Skylanders released. Also, they fall over quite easily in the case as you move it around.
The biggest feature I thought would benefit here is that you can store the Portal of Power instead it to keep it dust free. Wrong! There is no room for the USB cord that comes with the Xbox 360 version of the Portal! Only the Wii version of Skylanders has a wireless portal. So if you have the Xbox version, you can’t fit the portal in the storage case. The doors don’t close because of the cord.

My son loves Skylanders. We are up to 14 of the figures and I started to wonder where I was going to put them when he is not playing the game. I checked out this Tower Case at ToysRUs and while it looked sturdy we couldn’t get all his figures in. I found a better solution – an ornament storage case like the Christmas Ornament Storage Box by Snapware Corp sold on Amazon. The one we got had 2 trays and held all his figures – including Darklight Crypt and Pirate Seas as well at the pedestal you place the figures on during game play (we folded the cardboard insert to allow this). We have not filled the box, but we can get new trays if we need them. The box is hard, clear plastic and is easy to carry with the attached handle on the lid. I think it will protect the figures better for cheaper.
