This is a great horse game for the DS whether you’re into the Bella Sara website or not. I grew up during the pokemon card craze so having a game where you collect cards was a nice throw back to my younger days. It took me just under a week to complete all the challenges and find all the cards. The cards represent beautiful artwork. There are three different trails with different challenges for each and then there are three different jump courses that you can ride multiple times to collect all the cards. You get 6 different magical horses to ride, the 6th being a winged horse you get after completing all the challenges. Who wouldn’t want to play a horse game where you get to ride a winged horse?
However there are cons. The graphics are sub par. The cards look great, but the actual horses you ride look like they’re poorly molded from clay. Not much detail was paid to how the game horses look. Also the horse tires too fast in my opinion. After it gets tired, you have to go through the grooming, feeding, cleaning the stall, and petting routine all over again. This gets tiring and repetitive, especially when you have six horses. A third complaint is that you get the flying horse too late in the game to do much with it.

I preordered this item back in early August I believe. Both my 8 yr old and I are hard-core Bella Sara collectors. This game is just icing on the cake for more Bella Sara fun!
My daughter absolutely loves it and hasn’t stopped playing with it since she got it! She even played it with a friend (who doesn’t have a DS but my daughter let her play and her friend enjoyed it just as much). There is a “card of the day” feature and from what my daughter has told me, you collect cards along the way. It can be linked with another player so that girls can trade cards the DS way! She hasn’t needed my help at all or needed to read the instructions. It also includes a collectable card called Excelsior (for your daughter’s Bella Sara collection with a code to be used online).
PERFECT holiday gift (although ours was a belated birthday gift)! If it ends up not working or something at any point, I’d buy it again in a heartbeat! This DS game was well worth the $30 (can’t say that for all the other games we’ve bought).

I bought the game for my daughter who is really into horses right now. Bella Sara is her favorite on-line game, and now she can take it with her wherever she goes! She was really excited about the card that came with the game because it gave her access to a new horse on her on-line game.
