After having to install this adapter on my xbox i noticed my game Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was freezing up like no tomorrow. I am connected to internet via Verizon Fios using Auctiontec wireless router M424WR. I never had any problems with the older model wireless network adapter. If anyone had the similar issue please respond. The NAT is open tested with the different game experience the same xbox live freeze. Help!!!

This wireless adapter is amazing. Connected it and it found my networks with no problem. It is so nice not having to run an ethernet cable to the other end of the house now.

I don’t know whether to give a positive review or negative review.
I upgraded from the old wireless receiver and immediately experienced better on-line performance from my xbox. I used to periodically experience lag, but when I got the new adapter I didn’t anymore. CODMW2 and HD netflix streaming both worked great.
Then about a week after I received the new wireless receiver it simply stopped working. I’ve tried plugging into all the different USB ports, and the light on the front doesn’t come on at all. The xbox doesn’t even recognize that there is anything plugged in. The old receiver still works, but doesn’t quite cut it, so I’m left having spent a total of $140 on wireless receiving for my xbox with one substandard product and one product that simply doesn’t work.
I wish Microsoft would put a little more time into testing and development before they release glitch-ridden products. And I wish they cared about their customers a little more. Why was the first wireless adapter even released? They could have just made it as good as this one.
Now I’m forced to find out how to return an opened product (not sure if I even can do this) or buy another $90 wireless adapter, because I cannot run CAT9 cable in my apartment.
Thanks Microsoft. Your greed astounds me.

i hate that we are forced to by proprietary microsoft adapters and cannot purchase any wireless n adapter we want but this product does work nicely with my wrt610n router. it doesnt make the internet faster (as you are limited to what you are provided by your ISP). it does however make streaming pc to xbox content much much faster. love it
