The zipper broke immediately. I returned it and will look for a different Wii dance pad.

The mat (model g5619) is good quality. I’ve owned it for about 6 months now. I use it every other day and it is still working well. The one caveat I have found is that it is not compatible with the diagonal arrows at the end of Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 3.
Pros:
Great battery life (6 months on the first set and still going)
Thick dance surface (you can feel where the “buttons” are without looking)
Good build quality feels good (I wonder if the zipper problem is from people with the old model, g5617? Wii & GameCube Wireless Dance Mat)
Dense foam pad (makes dancing on a hard floor safer and more fun)
Good sensitivity (no timing problems, accurately registers steps)
Wireless
Cons:
Not fully compatible with DDR3 (the mat was released before the game)
Not carefully packed. (My mat had a crease in the fabric that stepping on is turning into a small cut in mat)

I purchased this product a little over a month ago for my teens to do ddr games with our Wii. We had no problems putting it together so I was hopeful it was a good purchase. After just one use the zipper was pulling apart. We re-zipped in the other direction so it was all closed again and after the next use it happened again, the zipper was pulling apart. Now there was no way to re-zip it back up. The zipper would not stay together!! How can they make such a cheaply made product? Very disappointed.
I was going to return it but my kids insisted they could use it without it being zipped up but it just doesn’t work well like that, and now I’m past the thirty days…. I’m sorry I purchased and am even sorry I didn’t return it. A big waste of money! Amazon should stop carrying this product, imho.
Please do not waste your money on this product until they fix the zipper problem!

This has to be one of the cheapest made items I have ever bought. You begin by putting the mat together like a puzzle. Easy. The you try slipping the mat into the pad envelope. Not bad. Then you try and zip the sides to hold everything together which doesn’t work. The zippers are SO cheaply made. One side was off track but it’s impossible to get back on track since you can access the beginning of the zipper. The other side would zip, but the zipper just splits open. The crappiest zippers I have ever seen.
I gave it 2 stars, b/c I can still use the mat and it works fine, I think. I’m not good enought to dance the hard stuff where precision may matter more. The padding is nice. To move or carry around the mat is not fun, as the zipper doesn’t work and the mat pieces are apt to fall out.
For as much as one spends on this mat, I would expect a zipper that works. I mean, how much can a working zipper cost. If I wouldn’t have had to ship this back and pay the postage – it comes in a faily large box- I would have returned it. I can make it work, but I hate the thought of someone making a profit off this garbage. I would buy this item somewhere at a local store with a good return policy.

The WII Wireless Dance Mat with Foam Pad is fun to play, and works better than the original dance pad. Beware, however, the inexplicable choice of very cheap and inadequate zipper pulls – both bent open as I struggled to zip the pads around the foam inserts, and came off the zipper, allowing it to split open. Normally, this would be a major problem. However, a trip to Joann’s Fabric to get REAL zipper pulls solved the problem and all were happy! It seems silly, though, for a manufacturer to go cheap on such an important and yet tiny feature such as a zipper pull that could lead to a return of an otherwise fun product as defective.
