Costumer Reviews

It’s sad that video gaming has gone to the elitists. Choices have become more limited, you are expected to own the best system possible, you are expected to want the newest most expensive console available. Never mind that we’re still toiling in economic turmoil, you either have to go big or go home. Nobody is looking out for the consumers interests anymore. So here we are, the lower class, the PSP owners, those who chose something to serve (heaven forbid) their own interests. Now we’re punished for it. The Show bailed for the elitists. Those who could afford the Vita, a 250 dollar gorilla with an extra 50 dollars for a memory card. The few titles the platform all carry an equally heavy price.
And then there’s the one new sports release for us PSP owners, MLB2K12. We pre-ordered it, a fairly reasonable $20 considering the price of everything else. Hopefully this will fill the void of losing MLB:The Show. We fired it up, we were willing to overlook the Playstation One like graphics. We started a game. Little can be done with the presentation, hitting is challenging but we like a challenge. Then we started pitching…ooh they got a hit, and I can’t field very well…let’s put it on auto-fielding. Oh wait, there is no auto-fielding. That’s tough, something so simple yet so absent. Okay, I guess I can deal with it. Practice will make perfect. Oh look another hit. Wow, these guys are tough. 2 men on. The pitch…Wild. DANG! I put that ball right down the middle. Runners advance. Here’s the next pitch….strike. Okay I’m ahead. Next pitch…WILD! They score. WOW, a wild pitch again? Chris Carpenter sure is having trouble. Not gonna get mad diddily-diddily…The 2-1. strike. Fly out. Runner comes in. Next batter up. Here’s the pitch…

Well I normally buy MLB The Show but apparently they are no longer making it for the psp. So I went out on a limb and bought this game. It could be fun if it wasn’t so ridiculous. I have played two games so far and have managed to throw a mere 23 wild pitches, how I don’t know but it happens when there is someone on base. For example the other team gets a base hit then I throw three straight wild pitches until they score. I am so frustrated at the game I am not sure I will even play it again. Hitting the ball is pretty difficult as well, I am playing on rookie and can barley make contact. This is probably the worst baseball game I have ever played and super disappointed. Also, the rosters are not very up-to-date as well, for example Zambrano is still on the Cubs, that happened long enough ago that it could have been fixed. Personally if I were you I would not waste your money.

I totally agree with the other reviews.I won’t go into much detail since both reviews addressed most of the problems.I will howerver say that the “wild pitch” issue is one of the most UNBELIEVABLE video game glitches I have ever experienced in all my videogaming life, even going back to Atari 2600.Aren’t there supposed to be testers for trash like this!!!I truly wanted to play as my beloved St. Louis Cardinals against teams with updated rosters and stadiums but after 5 minutes I realized this game is utterly unplayable.Everything about it is a complete step backward from last year.Save you money and keep MLB11 The Show if you own it.What a complete waste of time and money.
